VIDEO: Local firefighters are helping fight a big fire out of state, which has brought some smoke into the Grand Valley. The Rice Ridge fire in Montana has been declared a top priority wildfire in the USA. It's being called a 'type one' incident, which is similar to hurricanes and national disasters. The fire has burned more than 100,000 acres was started by lightning in late July. A four-man team from the Grand Junction Fire Department's wildland team is specially trained for events like these. They took a special truck with them that is small enough to navigate dangerous, curvy terrain.
