Luckily, no one was home when a fire broke out in the basement of a southeast Colorado Springs house. The call came in for the fire around 12:10 a.m. Saturday in the 4400 block of Fenton Road. Within minutes, the Colorado Springs Fire Department arrived to extinguish the flames. Just after 12:30 a.m., the fire was out. Firefighters say there was just minor damage to the basement. The cause is still under investigation.
