Boulder County residents help put out small wildfire near Gross Reservoir

Residents living near Gross Reservoir had mostly extinguished a small wildfire before fire crews arrived on Tuesday evening. The fire, which was contained to an area about 10 feet by 20 feet, was reported shortly after 7:30 p.m., according to a news release. Boulder County sheriff's deputies and firefighters from the Rocky Mountain Fire Department responded to the area of Lakeshore Drive and Lakeshore Park Road and found several residents trying to douse the fire using buckets of water. The fire was completely extinguished shortly after arrival of the deputies and firefighters.
