A Phoenix firefighter is recovering after he was assaulted late Saturday morning. Police say a suspect has been arrested.
Around 10:30 a.m., fire crews responded to a medical call in the area of 15th and Highland avenues, just south of Camelback Road. A short time after they arrived, police say the suspect attacked one of the firefighters, causing minor injuries.
Officers responded and located the suspect nearby. Jonathan Macias, 45, was arrested and booked into jail on one count of aggravated assault.
