VIDEO: One dog is killed, and four other dogs were rescued following a house fire early Friday morning in north Phoenix. At around 2:30 a.m., Phoenix firefighters were dispatched to the 2000 block of East Sharon Drive. About 16-20 firefighters were on the scene to put out the fire. The house is a total loss. Cpt. Tyler Westfall of the Phoenix Fire Department said they had to put some fire out on the house's north side before they could rescue some of the dogs.
