Governor Asa Hutchinson announced the final appointments to the state's School Safety Commission today, and one of them is a local fire chief. Rogers Fire Chief Tom Jenkins was picked Monday by Hutchinson. Washington County Sheriff Tim Helder was announced as a commission appointment earlier in March. The commission consists of educators, law enforcement members, parents and state officials. The commission's first meeting will be Tuesday.
