The Russellville Police Department, Arkansas Tech University Public Safety, Russellville Fire Department and Pope County EMS responded to a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Monday night, September 18, near the 2000 block of North Arkansas Avenue. Pope County 911 operators dispatched the call at approximately 9:30 p.m. and advised responders as they checked en route that injury was involved in the crash. Moments later, RFD Engine 3 firefights arrived on scene and advised dispatch that two vehicles were involved and one vehicle, a Lexus SUV had sustained heavy damage in the collision. Upon making contact with the driver of the SUV, firefighters learned that the driver was not only injured, but also trapped in the vehicle.
