Faulkner County officials, business owners and residents prepared to be inundated with heavy rains as remnants from Tropical Storm Cindy were expected to hit Arkansas on Thursday. The National Weather Service of Little Rock said: “[A]reas of heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms will spread across the region” late Thursday and into Friday. Southern parts of the state were expected to see the most rain — up to 7 inches — while forecasters said Faulkner County would likely receive around 2 inches.
