Crews are investigating a deadly house fire that happened on Mote Road in Crawford County Tuesday morning (Dec. 12). Firefighters said a woman was killed in the fire and a man was pulled from the blaze and taken to an area hospital. According to Billy Garrett, Crawford County District 1 Fire Chief, the man was transported with 30 to 40 percent of his body covered in burns. He was later transported to a Little Rock hospital. Garrett said crews are working to get the woman's body out of the home. According to Garrett, the two were inside by the front door at the time of the fire. When crews arrived on scene they were able to grab the injured man by the leg and get him out of the home.
