The Little Rock Fire Department will soon have a new state of the art alert system that could decrease response times and in turn, save lives.
We learned from LRFD the current alert system is 20-years-old.
We found in the city board of director's agenda document from earlier this month these phrases to describe the current alert system: "reaching end-of-life," "must be replaced," and "imperative it be upgraded."
A fire call was dispatched to the central Little Rock fire station near W. 7th Street and S. Chester Street while our crew was there Friday.
Firefighter Jonathon Nunley said, "Just in time."
