A new fire station in Enterprise is operational after more than a year under construction. Wednesday was a huge milestone for Enterprise Chief Byron Herring, as he cut the ribbon for the city's new fire station on the west side of town. Next Thursday will be herrings 44th year with the department. "It's good for the present and future of Enterprise. We feel like this side of town is going to start growing,” said Herring. Just in the month of September, the new station responded to 37 calls.
