Firefighters responded Tuesday afternoon to a small blaze that has temporarily shut down a popular U.S. 280 restaurant. Hoover Fire and Cahaba Valley Fire responded shortly after 4 p.m. to Jim 'N Nick's in Greystone. Hoover Fire Capt. Rusty Lowe said there was fire and smoke showing when they arrived on the scene. The fire was contained to an out building and quickly extinguished. The restaurant, however, was evacuated as a precaution and cannot reopen until given the go-ahead from health department inspectors.
