Capital City Firefighters extinguish mobile home fire in Juneau

Capital City Fire Rescue reports entering a mobile home with smoke coming from the eves Thursday in the 200 block of Switzer Park. Crews quickly extinguished the fire. The occupants of the trailer were not in the home at the time and later showed up on scene, stating a dog and cat were inside. Assistant Chief Ed Quinto provided details: "The crews were able to find the dog and cat in the back bedroom of the trailer. The 5 year dog and 7 year old cat were reunited with their owner. The Red Cross showed up on scene to assist the trailer occupants with living arraignments. There were no injuries from the civilians or CCFR members."
