The Salisbury firefighter hit by a fire vehicle Sunday is out of surgery and doing well, according to a Salisbury Fire Department Facebook post. A crew of Maryland State Police troopers flew the injured firefighter to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after the Sunday afternoon incident. The firefighter remains in Shock Trauma but is now awake and able to talk to friends and family, a news release from the mayor's office said. Three firefighters were participating in a service project when the accident occurred, the Facebook post states.
