Four firefighters in Martin County, Kentucky, were injured when a shell exploded on the ground. It was all caught on camera.
Everyone said they're lucky the damage wasn't any worse.
The second annual Inez Independence Day Celebration had been off to a high-flying start Sunday night until the accident.
Video taken by Gessica Jude shows the regular fireworks exploding high in the area until a large explosion of a firework, mostly below the tree line. Inez Fire Chief Lee Gauze was right beside it, along with seven other members of the department.
He said they were doing everything right and in a safe manner, the shell was defective and misfired.
