VIDEO - A resident in Eagle County caught a peculiar house guest rummaging through his refrigerator early Saturday. According to a Facebook post from the Eagle River Fire Protection District, crews were dispatched on a service call about 4:45 a.m. Saturday for a report of a bear in the living room of a second-floor apartment. Firefighters were able to chase off the small bear, who was caught by the resident earlier rummaging through the refrigerator. The resident locked himself in his room to wait for help after discovering the bear. Eagle River Fire Protection firefighters, with assistance from the Eagle County Sheriff's Office, were able to successfully get the bear to leave the building without causing any injuries to the bear or the humans involved.
