A Prince George's County firefighter had to be helped to a ladder after being burned during a house fire in Landover Hills Wednesday. Firefighters were called to a vacant two-story home on Dorman Street around 12:45 p.m. and found smoke showing. The fire appeared to have started on the second floor, Prince George's County Fire Spokesman Mark Brady said in a statement. The fire spread to the attic of the home and winds gusting to 21 MPH were reported. The firefighter from Station 833 (Kentland) required assistance from other firefighters as he exited a second story window. He was transported to a local burn unit for minor burn injuries and treatment of exhaustion.
