A cornerstone of the fire service is effective communication. Whether it is on the fireground or administrative in nature, our communication channels have to be open, clear and reliable. Your cooperative procurement program for the fire service, the FireRescue GPO, recently announced a major new contract with AT&T in the area of communications and data services. Your department has access to competitive, national pricing through this publicly solicited contract. This means you can use this contract in place of your own RFP process, saving you time as well as money.

This AT&T contract includes wireless, advanced mobile data services and even discounts for individual firefighters. “This is a significant addition to the FireRescue GPO’s contract portfolio. It will help us better meet the needs of our fire service members nationwide,” says Chief Jack Taylor, Fire Chief, Emporia Fire Department and longstanding member of the FireRescue GPO Advisory Council.
