Dispatchers confirmed on Thursday afternoon that a man had died in a house fire. The fire was reported along Jordan Creek Road in Clendenin. The man is believed to be the only person inside the house at the time of the fire, officials say. The Clendenin Volunteer Fire Department told our crew at the scene fire crews believe the fire started with a cigarette. No other injuries have been reported. Dispatchers say Jordan Creek Road in Kanawha County is shut down at Willis Creek Road as first responders battle the fire and ensure the safety of anyone who may be inside.
