8-unit apartment complex in Beaver Dam 'uninhabitable' after fire

An 8-unit apartment complex in Beaver Dam is "uninhabitable" after a fire on Saturday, according to the Beaver Dam Fire & Rescue Department. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office received reports of smoke in the area of Lake Crest Drive around 11:45 p.m. Upon arrival, crews determined the smoke to be coming from 113 Lake Crest Dr. Crews found the fire on the second floor of an 8-unit apartment complex. The captain on scene requested additional resources and called a MABAS Box Alarm. Firefighters were able to get everyone out of the building and control the fire within an hour. There were no reported injuries. One apartment has serious smoke, fire and water damage. Units nearby have water and smoke damage. According to officials, the entire building is uninhabitable because of the fire.
