VIDEO: The Pine Lake Fire Department has long seen the need to add a ladder truck to add to their fleet of firefighting equipment. After years of searching for a budget friendly option for such an expensive piece of equipment, Fire Chief Brian Gehrig is pleased to announce the department has successfully acquired one. “The Town of Pine Lake has acquired a 75ft aerial firetruck for the township and we purchased a nice used vehicle to try to save money for the township. Brand new ones are kind of getting ridiculous in price,” said Brian Gehrig. Gehrig said there are many benefits to having this piece of equipment. “This particular truck does have a little bit larger pump on it so we can pump more water with the truck. It also gives our firefighter the advantage of getting up and over the fire safely without having to set up and climb up ladders,” said Gehrig.
