Twelve employees treated on scene after commercial structure fire in Menasha

Twelve employees were evaluated for smoke inhalation Monday morning after a commercial structure fire in Menasha. According to Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue, crews responded to a fire alarm activation in the 200 block of River Street at around 7:45 a.m. on May 20. Upon arrival, firefighters found employees outside the structure and smoke in a portion of the facility. Facility personnel were reported to have extinguished the fire prior to the arrival of Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue. Crews entered the building and confirmed the fire was extinguished, but the building needed to be ventilated before employees were allowed back inside. The fire has been determined to be accidental, and the damage was limited to the area of origin. No injuries were reported, but 12 employees were evaluated for possible smoke inhalation.
