VIDEO: The Iola Car Show Grounds hosted the 4th annual Meet the Fleet event on Tuesday.
It’s a way for the community to meet the Waupaca County first responders and other public workers and for kids to climb aboard fire trucks and police cars. There was also a K9 demonstration, a chance to see how the hazmat team works, and a chance to try on some special firefighter gear.
“Usually, you only see these emergency services in dire situations, and to see them on a fun and entertaining level that you can check them out and take your time, it is really neat to showcase that,” said Ali Johnson, the marketing director for the Iola Car Show.
It was the first time the Iola Car Show Grounds hosted the event.
