PHOTO: State Fire Marshals are investigating a structure fire at a building on Kern Lane in Arbor Vitae Sunday evening. Arbor Vitae Fire and Rescue was dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:41 p.m. When crews arrived, the structure was fully engulfed in flames and there were several vehicles nearby. The structure was located at 111107 Kern Lane. It was a 40 x 80 foot steel building. There were also several small explosions happening around the main structure. Crews used large caliber handlines and master streams to battle the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Wisconsin State Fire Marshals and the Vilas County Sheriff's Office. Damage is estimated to be about $400,000. There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
