East Pierce firefighters rescue dog that fell 15 feet into abandoned mine hole

PHOTOS: East Pierce Fire & Rescue firefighters rescued a dog that had fallen about 15 feet into an abandoned mine hole Tuesday morning. The department posted about the rescue — which happened outside of Burnett — on X at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday. The owner said his dog, Raider, fell into the abandoned mine hole and could not get out, according to the department. Crews placed a ladder into the hole and carried Raider up to his owner, the department said. East Pierce Fire & Rescue posted photos from the rescue.
