VIDEO/PHOTOS: The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) is investigating a 3-story apartment fire that broke out Saturday morning.
Officials said they received a call around 2 a.m. about a large fire that broke out in the 3100 block of Northeast 145th Street.
Several residents have been displaced from the fire, and some residents who needed to evacuate said it was an alarming wake-up call.
“We heard the alarms go off and as soon as we realized it wasn’t a drill or someone pulling the alarm we started to try and get the cats together," said Jagger Papac, who lives in the 3030 Lake City apartments.
Papac said it wasn't until he stepped out of his apartment that he realized how severe the fire was. "We had to get out, one moment we open the door and there’s a little bit of smoke and went back to the apartment," Papac said.
