VIDEO: Multiple propane tanks exploded at Kinnear Park in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, leading to an emergency fire response.
At 4:38 p.m., Seattle police and fire departments responded to a report of a brush fire at 899 West Olympic Pl in Kinnear Park. A spokesperson for the Seattle Police Department said the fire is suspected to have started from either a tent or encampment, but the SPD said "this has not yet been confirmed by the Fire Marshal."
A Seattle Fire Department spokesperson confirmed a homeless encampment is in the area where the fire started, but said "no cause has been determined yet."
A 64-year-old man was seen "running and screaming" with their shirt on fire in the area before responding officers detained him for questioning, the SPD said.
