Firefighters were dispatched to the property in the 2000 block of Center Road just after 1:30 p.m. and arrived to find heavy fire conditions throughout the home. Firefighters stopped the fire from spreading to other mobile homes, trees and power lines. A man who lived in the home escaped, but firefighters transported him to the hospital with minor burns and smoke inhalation. The man, believed to be in his 60s, did not have life-threatening injuries. Firefighters evaluated another person for smoke inhalation at the scene. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. The home is a total loss. South County Fire reminds all residents to have working smoke alarms.
