February is American Heart Health Month and the Pasco School District is partnering with the Pasco Fire Department to help teach elementary school kids hands-only CPR.
Leaders from the Pasco Fire Department say it's never too early to teach a child how to save a life. They tell us they're starting with the basics. Ben Shearer, Public Information Officer for the Pasco Fire Department, says. "We're hoping that they can be the hero in the community while we're showing up. So, we're teaching them to recognize signs and symptoms of a heart attack, what to do, how to do it, calling 911 to get that help coming."
