A 64-year-old Moses Lake man is dead after he became overwhelmed by flames and smoke in a late-night house fire on Sunday. Moses Lake Firefighters say the fire was reported at around 10 p.m. at a home on Crestmont Drive in Moses Lake. Crews arrived to find a two-story consumed by flames; black smoke and flames could be seen coming from the front and rear of the structure. At the time of the fire, three residents were able to escape, but one resident couldn’t after they were overtaken by smoke and heat.
