Students safe after bus gets stuck on flooded road in Olympia

PHOTOS: McLane Black Lake firefighters performed a water rescue after a roadway covered with water was blocked by a vehicle. With the continued heavy rainfall in the Pacific Northwest Delphi Rd. between Cedar Flats and 32nd Ave. in Olympia was covered with water. According to a social media post from the McLane Black Fire Department, a car tried to drive through the standing water and became disabled. A bus in the area then attempted to turn around to go in the opposite direction and got stuck. A second bus was called to the area and firefighters helped the students off the first bus and onto the second. No injuries to students or the bus driver were reported in the water rescue.
