PHOTOS: Firefighters were mopping up hotspots after a large fire at an auto shop of some kind in Tacoma Wednesday afternoon. The fire was reported in the 4800 block of South Adams Street around 2 p.m. Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire conditions in the building and took a defensive strategy, according to Tacoma fire officials. Crews quickly knocked down the fire and were working on hotspots as of 3:45 p.m. No injuries were reported in connection with the fire. People were advised to avoid the area while firefighters worked on the fire. KOMO News viewers sent photos of the smoke billowing up from the fire.
