It's a problem that's growing. One that could strike anyone from anywhere and is becoming easier to get. We are talking about fentanyl. Multiple people from the valley speaking about their experiences with the drug at Senator Maria Cantwell's roundtable discussion. "I just got stuck in this vortex of everyday use to live, live to use," said Shondra Wells who lives in Yakima. They are far from alone as in Yakima County overdose deaths spiking 250 percent between 2018 and 2021. Part of the reason is it's easy to get right now with Senator Cantwell citing the average price for fentanyl in Yakima County is $1.35 and providers are seeing people use more and more.
