A fire at a Mountlake Terrace country club Sunday afternoon caused thousands of dollars in damage. South County Fire crews responded to the Nile Country Club around 12:20 p.m. Sunday and found club employees spraying water from a garden hose onto a fire outside the kitchen. Firefighters quickly got the fire under control and no one was hurt. The damage from the fire is estimated at $60,000, according to South County Fire officials. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
