PHOTOS: Firefighters have put out a fire at a Bremerton scrap metal yard, where smoke was seen billowing in the air.
South Kitsap Fire & Rescue first tweeted about the fire at Navy City Metals, 3587 W. Belfair Valley Road, at 12:25 p.m. Thursday.
Crews tweeted just before 3:30 p.m. that the fire was out, but they were remaining on the scene to mop up any hot spots. No one was injured, as the fire was limited to a scrap pile and three boxes used for storage, firefighters said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
