VIDEO: Firefighters responded to Alsco Uniforms in Columbia Tuesday afternoon around 7:30 p.m. According to photos and videos taken by a WIS News 10 employee, smoke was seen billowing from the building. A spokesperson with the Columbia-Richland Fire Department said this was a dumpster fire that affected a storage unit on the property at 420 Huger Street. “Just the storage box and dumpster were affected,” the spokesperson said. “No interior damages to the building itself and no injuries.” Ambulance and police were also at Blossom and Gervais streets, videos show. Alsco Uniforms is a uniform store near the Park Place apartments.
