VIDEO/PHOTOS: Remembering the life of a young man who loved to serve his community. Chad Andrew "Drew" Kelly, Jr. was a Moncks Corner firefighter, engineer, and EMT who died on May 12 in a collision. Family, friends, and fellow first responders came together to lay him to rest. "He wasn't going to quit until it was done and he made sure everyone around him was enjoying the job once again," said Colt Roy, the assistant chief of Central Berkeley Fire & EMS. For Kelly, a member of the Moncks Corner Rural Fire Department (MCRFD), firefighting was in his blood. Firefighter leader say he learned quickly and got good at his job. Those who knew Kelly say he was a leader, had a servant's heart, and was always willing to help.
