Seven people were forced out of their home in East Providence by a fire Tuesday afternoon. The fire happened on South Broadway, next to Morning Star Bakery. Battalion Chief Scott Weber said the fire was contained to one room. However, smoke and water damage made the rest of the house uninhabitable. No injuries were reported. It is unclear what may have caused the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
