Three people were forced from their home Monday night after a fire broke out in Portsmouth. Crews responding to Grain Terrace around 7:45 p.m. found heavy fire coming from the home. The residents and a couple of pets were able to get out safely with the help of a neighbor before crews arrived, Assistant Fire Chief Howie Tighe said. The home sustained severe fire and water damage.
