Fire crews responded to the CCRI Flanagan campus Friday afternoon to a small ballast bulb fire that broke out in a classroom, according to Lincoln Fire Chief Timothy Walsh. The reported cause of the fire was a florescent bulb in the classroom on the second floor of the building. No students were in the room at the time, but enough smoke was produced to activate the fire alarm. The building was evacuated while crews addressed the fire and smoke. The fire department then reported the situation as all clear.
