VIDEO/PHOTOS: A Riverside man recounted to NBC 10 News on Tuesday the horrifying moments following a fiery two-vehicle crash in his front yard.
East Providence police said a vehicle crashed into a utility pole on Forbes Street at about 8 p.m. Monday.
The crash knocked out power to thousands and caused extensive damage.
Riverside resident Peter Rocha was spending his morning cleaning up the damage, following a two-car crash right outside his home.
"My lovely bushes and things are all gone,” he said. “There was a big stump here that I had plants growing out of-- it's no longer there. I believe that's what caused the vehicle to go airborne and strike this tree.”
Police said an 18-year-old female driver from West Warwick crashed an SUV into a utility pole and came to a stop on Rocha’s front yard. Two other teen boys from West Warwick, ages 15 and 17, were in the car with her.
