James F. Riccio Jr. (Jim), 76, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth (Scott) Riccio and the late Linda (Sartrys) Riccio.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James "Fred" and Stephanie (Zbyszewski) Riccio. Jim was a lifelong resident of Bristol.
Jim's commitment to service was a cornerstone of his life. He served our nation with honor as a member of the US Army Special Forces, Green Berets. Upon returning to Bristol, he continued his service to the community, dedicating an impressive 54 years to the Bristol Fire Department as an Assistant Fire Chief and a member of Dreadnaught Hook, Ladder & Hose Company No. 1.
