The Coventry Police Department is asking the public for help finding the car that was involved in a hit-and-run last week that injured two firefighters. The two firefighters responding to a medical emergency at a home off Victory Highway on May 29 were getting out of their vehicle when an oncoming car slammed into the truck’s open door. The driver in the suspect vehicle, described as a 2019 to 2023 Chrysler minivan, continued driving and fled the scene. Police say the minivan will have damage to its front passenger side, specifically to at least the side view mirror. Both firefighters were rushed to the hospital and are recovering.
