A fire broke out at a Pawtucket auto body shop on Monday.
Fire officials said the fire broke out near the spray booth in the basement of the Ocean State Collison Center on 285 Mineral Spring Ave.
According to Pawtucket Battalion Chief David Cairrao, the fire spread through the ducting system used to ventilate the booth.
Because of paint residue, the fire was smoky and hard to extinguish, Cairrao said.
Fire crews said none of the cars in the shop burned, but many sustained heat or smoke damage.
The equipment sustained extensive damage. Fire officials said no one was hurt from the fire.
