Fire hits duplex in Warren

A fire broke out in the back of a duplex in Warren on Wednesday morning. Firefighters responded to the Coomer Street house at about 6 a.m. The fire chief said the occupants escaped safely. No injuries were reported, and no firefighters were treated for any heat-related issues. The chief said the interior of the home had water and smoke damage. The Red Cross is helping the three adults and five children who lived in the units find other places to stay. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
