PHOTO: Firefighters battled a blaze at a storage unit building in Franklin County, according to the Franklin Fire Company. Crews responded to the fire in the 500 block of West Loudon Street in Chambersburg Borough around 8:30 a.m. Friday. The fire damaged multiple storage sheds in the building. Fire crews encountered difficulties while working to control the blaze. A Facebook post from the Franklin Fire Company said they faced "numerous hydrant failures" that hindered their operation. Crews were able to secure a water source and bring the fire under control, according to the Franklin Fire Company. West Loudon Street was shut down between Federal Street and Sollenberger Road, and Lincoln Way West/Route 30 was shut down at Grandview Avenue. Drivers were advised to find alternate routes while crews were on the scene.
