The Walmart store in Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County was in the process of being fully evacuated Sunday afternoon amid reports of a sickening odor. Police said the source of the odor is believed to be animal repellent returned by a customer. The evacuations began around 3 p.m. at the Walmart on Route 248. Several ambulances, police and fire crews are on scene. Several people reported feeling nauseous. "We were dispatched for an unknown irritant that was placed into the store, causing multiple people medical issues," said Hecktown Fire Company Chief Keith Brooks. Nine people were transported to the hospital. All of the people taken to the hospital are stable and in okay condition, according to Brooks.
