A late night/early morning fire at a lumber mill near Troy prompted a response from more than a dozen departments that worked through the night to extinguish the blaze. According to the Bradford County Department of Public Safety sometime just before midnight on Tuesday, June 25, fire crews were sent to a structure fire at Cummings Lumber Company on Route 14 in Troy Twp. Crews arrived on the scene of a heavy fire coming from a structure at the facility and began setting up water supply points and establishing attack points on the fire. The post states that at some point during extinguishing efforts, an oil tank exploded and caused a partial roof collapse to one of the structures. The county’s drone unit was called in to observe the sides of the structure along with the county rehab unit and the hazmat unit to manage spilled fluids.
