A fire destroyed a business in Lancaster County on Monday afternoon.
The fire broke out around 2:45 p.m. at Wenger Woodwork in the 800 block of Fairview Road in Rapho Township, near Manheim. The owner said the fire started in the dust collector.
The wind posed a challenge for firefighters, who worked to keep the flames from spreading to other nearby buildings.
The heat was also an issue.
The fire went to a second alarm to get more crews on the scene.
"With the heat and the amount of fire load that we had, guys get burnt out quickly. The extra manpower allowed us to rotate guys and not overexert any one particular crew," said Deputy Chief Ian Nauman, with the Manheim Fire Department.
