Two people were taken to the hospital after a gas leak forced evacuations at a Montgomery County homeless shelter. It happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night at the Salvation Army in Pottstown. Officials say nearly three dozen men, women, and children waited in the parking lot as crews worked to clear the building of gas. A 69 News freelance photographer on the scene spoke to the Pottstown Assistant Fire Chief who says the leak came from a gas stove. We're told fire crews secured the stove and cleared the building within about two hours of the call. The conditions of the two people is unknown.
